It's BACK!

After a seven-year hiatus, Ford has announced the Ford Ranger is coming back to the new pickup truck lineup later this year.

Built Ford Tough

Just like all Ford trucks, this new Ford Ranger is built tough. The all-new design with more all-terrain capability will have you headed out for adventures every chance you get.

The terrain management system allows you to shift through four different modes- Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud Ruts, Sand and Normal- perfectly mapped to adjust for the throttle and transmission.

Different trim levels from the base XL to the LARIAT with the FX4 Off-Road Package will be available in the Ford Ranger. The FX4 Off-Road package will offer bash and skid plates to help protect the bottom of the truck from damage caused by the roads you take on your weekend escape.

The 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four engine backed by a 10-speed automatic will be the single engine the Ford Ranger offers in all models. Ford estimates that with this innovative pairing, the mid-size pickup truck will gain around 300 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.

The Ford Ranger will offer Trail Control, better known as the "off-road cruise control," which will help you travel through tough paths to give you a smoother ride.

"Ranger has always held a special place in the hearts of truck fans. The all-new Ranger is designed for today's midsize truck buyer, delivering even more utility, capability and technology for those who blend city living with more off-the-grid adventures on weekends."

Innovative Safety Features

With the new design, the Ford Ranger also has innovative driver-assist technologies. Feel safer while you drive with the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) used to detect objects in your blind spots and to alert when object is in blind spot of trailer. The Lane-Keeping System will help detect when you drift out of your lane and the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection will detect pedestrians. The Ford Ranger increases responsiveness of brakes or will take action and brake automatically with this safety system.
